This hand-decorated Whip-o-Lite shade is from 1933. It was listed in an Aladdin brochure advertising the new Whip-o-Lite shades that went into great detail describing the vastly different and far superior Whip-o-Lite material. The shade is listed in the brochure as design No. 153-White. As far as I have been able to tell, this shade was never available in another style, or color.
This is one of my favorite shades and I'm lucky enough to have two of them. One other interesting note on this shade is that the price listed for it, along with any other 14 inch shade shown in the brochure, was $1.95 back in 1933.
